Concert Schedule 2009

June 5

The Concert Series Presents: Patricia Caya, mezzo-soprano and Gregory Biss, piano. The program will include a set of new songs by Mr. Biss, as well as songs and arias by Wolf, Bolcom, Schubert and Bizet.. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.

June 13

Eastport Strings is Washington County’s youth string orchestra, now in its ninth year. The program will be varied and will include arrangements by members of the orchestra as well as improvisations. Show starts at 2pm and 7pm. Donations welcomed.

June 26

The Concert Series Presents: Trond Saeverud, violin and Gregory Biss, piano. Program contains music by Beethoven, Debussy, Sarasate, Roslavets and Kreisler. Tickets $10, $5 for students.

July 24

The Concert Series Presents:Stanley Wilson, tenor: American tenor Stanley Wilson and pianist Malcolm Halliday will present Puttin’ on the Brits, a program of Art Songs by British composers of the late 19th and 20th centuries. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for students.

August 21

The Concert Series Presents: Mira Gill, prize-winning pianist from New York City, Juilliard graduate and student of John Browning, returns by popular demand. Ms. Gill has played in Europe as well as in many well-known concert halls around the U.S.A. Tickets are $10, $5 for students.

August 28

The Concert Series Presents: Young Persons Concert. This eagerly anticipated event annually features young skilled performers from all over Washington County. Ticket prices are $5 for adults, under 18 free.

September 11

The Concert Series Presents: Tim Pence, classical guitarist and composer living in Boston. Adept in many musical styles and sharing his insights, Mr. Pence left the audience wanting more in his outstanding performance in 2007. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
